Brady was already pulling clothes on and heading out of his room by the time Cal got there. He'd barely slept, and what little sleep he had got had been fitful, his mind drumming up images that were best left forgotten, mixing them with things from a dark imagination. The thudding of helicopter blades was a familiar sound, but nowhere near comforting. It filled him with anxiety, with a consuming fear of what would come next, and he'd dropped to the floor as if expecting a mortar attack. When the sound had receded and nothing followed, he'd given himself a couple minutes still to steady himself.
As he went outside, he took in the scene before him. Cal and the little blonde girl, Antoine, Edan and the old Asian guy, and then he spotted the sheet which was clearly covering a body. His eyes shot up to Antoine, expression suspicious, and he crossed to Cal in quick, wide strides just in time to hear him advising Becka to send word to him and two others. "No need, I'm here," he said to Cal. "Wanna fill me in? Who's under the sheet?" He just barely stopped from sending another suspicious glare at Antoine and asking what part the cannibal had played in this.
With Brady coming out, Becka didn't really know what to do, and she looked a little helplessly to Cal for a moment. "I don't know who Reece is," she whispered. "I'll get Adam." She didn't wait for any kind of response, though, just turning to head back to the stairs to go to Adam's room.
Brady studied the sheet, the size and shape of the body under it. It was either a woman or a very small man. "The two of us can probably move her, Doc," he pointed out.
