Carmel looked up as someone came in, giving the other woman a welcoming smile. "Please, come on in," she said, gesturing her further inside. "No, you're not interupting at all. I'm just prepping dinner for whoever feels like spaghetti tonight," she told her. "Is there something I can get you, or help you make, or stay out of your way for?" she inquired, not wanting to seem like no one else was welcome in the kitchen, for it was a space for everyone.
