Carmel was having trouble processing what just happened. She sank slowly back onto the seat, hands clenched on the edge of the table. "I can't imagine what he could have done. He didn't want to get in trouble for anything," she said almost numbly. It was hard to think about, because of everyone here so far, she knew absolutely that Dom had her back, though she couldn't say why she knew it.
