Changes, Changes
Characters: Susanna and Mojo
Setting: Her room, cafeteria, morning
As Susanna slowly woke from a deep and very restful sleep, she yawned and stretched. Her muscles ached at the pull, and she hummed softly as she blinked her eyes open. The aching had been expected after all her activities yesterday, and while she certainly wasn't complaining, she was going to have to make sure to get some extra time doing yoga in the gym today. After her shower last night, she'd sat with her glass of wine (and she'd been admittedly surprised that Ryan had managed to save the wine) and a book she'd got from the library the first day while Ryan napped. It amused her to watch him sleep, thinking that it was such a cliche for a man to nap after, but she really didn't mind. She hadn't intended to use sleep for a while yet. When he'd awoke and requested her shower, she'd let him use it. And after he'd left, she'd spent the rest of the evening just relaxing in her room.
It wasn't a terrible existence compared to her time in prison thus far, Susanna thought as she slid out of bed. She used the bathroom, washed her hands, and brushed her teeth before tugging her silk nightie off, folding it neatly and catching her reflection in the bathroom mirror. "Hmm, look at that," she murmured with a tone of amusement as she set her nightie on the counter, fingertips moving to her shoulder where a bite-size bruise had formed. Ryan must have bit her harder than she'd realized. And that wasn't all, she noticed, standing up on her toes and twisting from side to side to see the faint bruising on her hips. It wasn't necessarily a good thing, but she had no doubt in her mind that she would gladly let Ryan do it again. It wasn't his fault that she had skin that bruised easily.
Leaving the bathroom, Susanna went to her dressing, choosing a sundress that had wide straps that would cover the bruise on her shoulder nicely, she thought. She pulled it on before settling at the computer, remembering how Matt had said he'd received a message about having something waiting for him the previous morning. She was still hoping that she would receive the ballet slippers she'd requested, and really, she did think that after helping both Reece and Ryan out yesterday, she'd earned them. Not that that was why she'd done them; she was just hoping it would be a happy side benefit. She logged in, tilting her head as she read the message from the Administration. Improvements to the facility, hmmm? She loaded the updated Facility Plan, looking over it with brows furrowed. A basement level? Interesting, very interesting, she thought as she studied it. "Ah, somewhere to do laundry. Isn't that nice," she murmured with a sigh. She really didn't know how to do laundry, but she would figure it out. She didn't have much of a choice now.
Susanna was so caught up by the basement level that she didn't notice the change on the first level right away, but when she spotted that one of the locked rooms had been labeled 'Pool' she found herself smiling in delight. While she hadn't been able to do much of it as a child, she did enjoy swimming very much, and she was looking forward to seeing what kind of pool there was. Flipping back to the message from the Administration, she finished reading it, eyebrows raising at the note that there were supplies they might find necessary waiting for them in the cafeteria. Her curiosity had been whetted, and so she logged out of the computer and left her room, locking it and tucking the key away in the pocket of her dress as she went the few doors down to the cafeteria.
"Oh!" she said with a delighted little laugh as she went in and saw the racks of swimwear. She crossed to them, thumbing through them as a little thrill went through her. It was almost like being able to shop again. Oh, how she'd missed shopping.
