It didn't take Adrian long to find the bar. He had no idea what was going on with this place, but he was thankful they had the sense to serve alcohol. Once inside, he took a seat at a stool by the bar and ordered himself an ice, cold beer. Certainly that would take the edge off tonight and make it easier blending in. It was enough trouble being the new guy in town and Adrian had no intention of being semi social. He just came for the liquor.
He was only a few chugs into his bottle when he spotted her at the bar. Crap. Was this going to be awkward? Or, perhaps, it was a question of whether or not the evening could be anymore awkward. The last time he saw her, he still had his badge. Adrian grunted under his breath and stuck to his beer, hoping to go unnoticed, and looking around for an exit in case he didn't.
