Plants Are Traditional, Right? Characters: Alice Setting: Block B
After reading the message on her computer, Alice left her room, searching for something she could leave in front of a door. She wasn't terribly interested in a bar - actually, the idea of a bar in a prison sort of scared her - but she didn't want to be the reason other people couldn't use it. The last thing she wanted was to make someone angry like that. And being able to use the laundry room would be very nice. Much better than washing her clothes in the bathroom sink. The problem was, she wasn't sure what to leave. What was appropriate to leave in front of a stranger's door?
Wandering into the greenhouse, she had an idea when she saw the pots there. A plant wouldn't offend anyone, right? Taking one of the pots, she grabbed a small hand shovel and went outside to the garden. She felt a little bad taking something from the garden, but there was quite a bit there. Wandering over to the herbs, she found a small, but healthy looking mint plant. It was kind of pretty, she thought, and at least it would smell good. Carefully digging it up and replanting it in the pot, she added more dirt, making sure the little plant would be okay in its new pot before picking it up and looking around.
She had met a couple of people now, but she didn't know where any of them lived. And maybe it was supposed to be random. Finding a door that didn't have anything in front of it yet, she set the mint plant in front of Room 34 before scurrying away to the kitchen. She would see about adding some seeds to make up for the plant she took later.
