Embarrassed at her own over reaction, Alice stared at Hunter's shoes. "Sorry," she mumbled, then winced as she realized that she had basically just apologized for apologizing. She sighed, a little frustrated with herself. She had thought, given the way she had managed to do a fairly good job interacting with Rusty and Hayden, that maybe she was doing better. And maybe she was, a little, but it still didn't change the fact that she wasn't great at dealing with people. His comment about it happening a lot didn't really make her feel better. Honestly, it sounded kind of depressing to her. As much as she loved her brothers, she had hated being compared to them. She couldn't imagine being mistaken for one of them. "That... Understandable doesn't mean it doesn't suck," she said quietly, still not looking at him.
