Sam couldn't help but smile in amusement at his story about what got him hard time. "Judges have no sense of adventure." She shook her head a little with a smirk. "Seven more's not too bad, I suppose. But hopefully this place does the trick. I've done three so far, too."
She always tried to read the person she was talking to before going on about her crime. Some people found it exciting, some people found it disturbing. It was all about the audience. Reggie seemed like he could take it straight. "I got 35 to life, no parole. Honestly, it was a pretty sweet deal considering I could have gotten a couple of consecutive life sentences. I guess they didn't have enough evidence against me for all of that and I was only going to cop to what they had on me. Which was eight contract hits and one murder. They dropped the last charge because I did the world a favor on that one."
