She nodded, for it was true enough though she had no illusions about her smile in the end. But she was female and that meant something to a few of the men, at least. "The cook always has the power," she said with a soft laugh. "Not that I'm the only one who can cook, but I'm afraid I'm rather monopolizing the kitchen a bit." Though everyone was welcome to come in and cook.
"Well, that's good. I'd rather not have anything awful happen here." She as on the lookout for trouble, though nothing had happened yet. The time was still young, so to speak, however, and there was plenty of potential. "Twenty, that's upstairs, then. I've not been up there except to peer into a couple of the communal rooms, really."
