Catching her wince, it occurred to Jason, albeit belatedly, that maybe he should make sure he wasn't bothering her with what he was doing. "Does that bother you? I can stop if it does." If she said yes, he'd just finish after she left. He wasn't sure why it would, but he knew some people couldn't stand to watch others do things like that. He was surprised by what she said, although it did make it easier to understand where she was coming from. "One of the people they moved to the other block was your boyfriend?" he guessed. And if said boyfriend had been mad when they had been separated... Well, he could she why she would be upset as well. No wonder she had gotten frustrated trying to apologize over the computers.
"Trust me, I've already wondered about that," he said, a little darkly. He hoped it wasn't true, because that would probably cut back on the chances of them getting to see each other again, but he wouldn't put it past them. There wasn't much he could say about her creeper problem though. Be careful or Watch yourself around him were both things she probably already knew. He did, however, tell her, "If he gives you problems, make sure you let someone know. Most of the people here aren't too bad." Some were, easily, but most of the people he had met wouldn't be the kind to sit around if something happened.
