"I was thinking about offering a general self defense thing to some people," Carmel said, shoulders lifting in another shrug. Didn't mean some of these people weren't still blood in the water. "I've done it before, in the past. Maybe we should do that," she said.
"No, sweetie, I want you to mention it," she said, sighing and resting her chin back on her hand again. "I don't have to like it, though." She didn't really believe in excusing people on the basis of that was just how they were, but she also wasn't about to alienate a guy she liked and wanted at her back over something like this. She could accept it like she accepted so much else.
