The air around her was changing. She didn't know why it was changing, just that it most certainly was. It was like lights were going out, and she was still under the awful impression that it was her fault somehow.
Kyle's statement made her feel a little better at least, and Adam at least explained what had happened, though she was fuzzy on why it would be insulting in the first place. Certainly, she'd heard in prison people being quite...disagreeable with the idea of women being together voluntarily, a concept she still wasn't entirely certain she could understand on any real level. She saw no issue with anything of the kind, and the idea that she'd said something that Adam might have thought was an insult was distressing to say the least.
She bit her lower lip lightly and ducked her head down, taking another long drink of her 'butterfly', sort of wishing she could disappear. It was likely best for her not to say anything further, to avoid any more issues.
