Nodding at Wu's words, Becka found herself agreeing, even if that really wasn't how it had gone down. She'd enlisted Adam's help, but he could have said no. Anything you want, Adam's words repeated in her head, and she gave a mental laugh; somehow she didn't think he would say no to anything she thought up to do. "Not only in here; it's a good spirit to have in life on the whole," she pointed out, though it was more expressing her own philosophy than correcting him. "But that could just be the Minnesota nice talking," she added with a little laugh.
Becka glanced at the bar, then back at Wu, listening to him speak and waiting for him to finish before responding. Wait, was that teasing she'd just heard? She couldn't be sure because he didn't seem to give the right inflection to denote teasing. But the words sounded like they must have been. "Oh! I'm not gonna go rushing off," she assured him. "I've still gotta finish my dinner, for one." And Wu was interesting. She'd have to make it a point not to let her attention wander to the bar again, because just because there was something starting up with her and Adam didn't mean they had to spend all their time here together. No, she was happy to have conversations with others, as well. "And speaking of food, I know I said something on the journals, but the meal you made the first night we were all here really was great," she told him with a warm smile.
