Re: Mazie, Jim, and Rusty
Rusty was just grinning. It was like he couldn't stop smiling. For the first time in his life, he was feeling so much like he belonged, and people weren't just humoring him. Sure, he had a weird little crush on Jim and that was making him panic a little, but who cared, when he was all up in robot talk? "I bet if we all worked on things we could do it." he said. "I so wanna try!"
“Then let’s do this!” Jim said, his excitement tangible as he rocked back on his heels, part of him itching to just bail on the party and get started right away. He successfully resisted the urge to grab his friends and drag them off to the workshop though even as his fingers itched for a pencil and paper so he could start planning, his hands already going through the motions of mapping things out. “I can scope out materials tonight, see what there is in the ‘shop and store. Even if there isn’t the raw bits, I might be able to cannibalise stuff...”
“We can probably use bits from our computers too. I can put in requests for more things, you know..Because IT parts break and who better to know that than the IT Coordinator, right?” She asked, grinning before she took a sip of her drink. “This is going to kick ass. What should we name our robot? And do we have a girl robot or a boy robot?” At the very least, this would give her something to work toward that wasn’t the total destruction of The Administration, so maybe it would help not only her and her team out, but the other friends she had here too.
"Not Hal." Rusty said. "Other than that, I'm good with either, and we could stick with gender neutral, since it doesn't have genitals." he added, still just so ready to go here. He didn't know it but he was in the same boat as Jim--he wanted to go now, and start raiding the place for parts.
