Whatever she was doing was working, because Adam found himself more than a little caught up in the kiss, free hand moving towards her cheek and stopping somewhere in her hair. That little sound? That was pretty cool considering he didn’t know this woman at all. Apparently he was doing something right, so he kept at it.
Ru was internally grinning as Adam continued it. So, she did too. She pressed herself against him as much as she could, made another little sound, and kissed him like she might need it to survive. It didn't hurt that he did happen to be giving her a lot to work with. He was a good kisser. And he was attractive. So this whole thing? Wasn't hard to get into at all. She only broke it when she needed to breathe, and even then she stayed close. “You’re good at this.” she exhaled, trying to catch her breath.
Adam half followed after her when the kiss broke off, even if he was short of breath as well. He gave a light laugh at what she said, feeling that blush creep onto his cheeks again. “Thanks. You too.” He pulled back just a tiny bit more to look at her, biting his lip again. “So...we do this?”
She loved that he drifted closer, and she didn't really step back herself. "Oh, god yes. Please, let's do this," she laughed, grinning before she took him by the hand to drag him closer to Kyle and Zach. Then the show started. She put all of her effort into dancing with him in a clearly enticing way--both for their benefit to watch and to keep Adam's attention on her.
He was banking on the fact that she seemed to have a plan, but that goal of being enticing was working wonders for Adam in the moment. He was watching her hips, then holding on to her at one and sure, it was actually kind of fun, because she was focused on him and she wasn’t getting torn up about it and maybe it was nice to just let go. At least he wasn’t staring at Kyle and Zach.
Taking full advantage of the situation, especially with Adam not resisting anything, she focused on him. And, when it made sense to, she drew him in and kissed him again, like she was just a little desperate for more.
Adam hadn’t thought about the kissing in front of Kyle part. Yes, he knew that was part of the goal, but when she first did it, the realization snapped into place. Kyle would see. The kiss though, that desperation, that was too much for him to resist and he was answering it, holding her cheek to kiss her better and keep her close.
At this point, Ru was kind of hoping she and Adam would finish up the night together. That would up the ante on a few things, one of which was finding out if Zach would take issue. She was dying to know. But her mind was still on Adam and this, and she kissed him hard, right up until the song drew to a close, and she needed air again. But she grinned when she pulled back, a little bit of a longing look in her eyes that she leveled on him. A look that had desire in it, letting him know he'd affected her.
When she pulled back, Adam didn’t let her get far, hold on her keeping her near him. That look she was giving him, that stirred something in him. Adam didn’t do that to people. He didn’t bring that out in them, but here he was bringing it out in Ru and for a moment he’d forgotten about the plan, too damn focused on that look. “Do we...keep dancing?”
"We do whatever you want." Ru told him, voice slightly unsteady. Her eyes never left his, and she drifted a little closer like she was magnetically pulled in by him.
Adam was starting to wonder if they’d left the plan behind. He knew he should mind that, since that was the goal, but with her voice like that it was impossible not to nod. “I like the dancing. And the kissing.”
She smiled, an entranced sort of expression. "The kiss me, and let's dance." she said, giving a sway of her hips to the beat of the new song.
It dawned on Adam that he hadn’t initiated any of the kisses so far, but when she moved against him, he couldn’t help himself, leaning in to kiss her again, just like before.
