Part of Adam had a feeling that it could hurt, but when he tried to define just how he found himself at a complete loss. “I never thought about it like that,” he said not quite giving in, but sounding interested.
Ru smiled at that, then stepped closer. "I could give you a practice taste, see how you feel then." she offered, voice a sweet little purr. "If nothing else, you can say you had a little drunk kissing session at a party while in prison."
Adam swallowed. “I don’t want to think about the things I’ve done in prison like that,” he said, not sure what to do with her closer.
"You're a little too serious, aren't you?" she asked, rhetorically. She didn't say it meanly, either. "Lighten up a little. It'll do wonders for you. That was then, this is now. You have an opportunity to see what happens. And hey, if you want to see what happens with me, we can do that too. If not, I can at least say I gave a shot at trying to help out. If you'd rather go sulk in a corner or something, be my guest, but just a little friendly advice? That's never attractive. That won't get his attention in a good way, that'll annoy the shit out of him and make him feel like he can't say hi to another guy without you going all emoboy on him. No one wants That Person for an S.O." She patted his shoulder. "Now. You're hot, I think you're kind of adorably awkward enough to see this through, and you seem to be a little too sad for an event like this. So, cheer up, emokid. Should we see about sparks?"
Adam listened to her, not at all surprised about what she was saying. She had a decent point about the part with him moping. Kyle would hate that. He looked at her for a moment. “I’ll agree to sparks. We’ll see about the rest.”
Ru grinned. "That a boy!" she said, tossling his hair slightly as she put her arms around his neck. "Practice run first?" she suggested, gazing at him through her eyelashes. Getting someone warmed up was just proper procedure.
Oh. Adam wasn’t entirely sure what to do with her, but at least she gave him an option there to work with. “Okay,” he said, nodding a little. “Sure.”
She didn't wait for more of a confirmation. Instead, Ru put her arms around his neck, stepped in close enough to be up close and personal with him, and she kissed him. She kept it light at first, but then deepened it, escalating the experience pretty quickly. She just hadn't wanted to go in with something he might shy back from. But usually people were pretty good to go with a kiss that got passionate. Kissing was nice. She'd never run into someone who didn't like it on some primal level.
It wasn’t until she kissed him that Adam managed to hold on to Ru, one arm around her waist. And yes, he did fall into kissing her back, more willing than most to go along with something of the kissing nature when it happened to him. And it was nice, if he didn’t think too much about it.
Since he was returning it, Ru drew it out, kissing him like she meant it. She wanted to have a real reaction from him, if it was apparent it was put on, then there wouldn't be much of a chance of this getting pulled off right. But if she could capture his interest, even just for tonight? Then things could be very, very interesting all around. She even put the softest of sounds into it, something for only his ears.
