Re: Hayden and Jae
Jae paused. "...did I just freak you out?" she asked. "And I'd recommend it, but...yeah. I guess, sorry if it turns out you're going to be brother-less in the future?" She meant it, too. Jae could be a sarcastic bitch and all, but she did feel for the guy on this.
He was quiet for a second, draining the rest of his glass. He looked into the empty cup, then back at her. “I’ve always had a twin brother. He might hate me at the moment, but he’s still my brother. I don’t like the idea of someone taking that away from me. I don’t consider it a reward.”
"I wouldn't either." Jae agreed. "So, that's dark, and probably distressing and depressing. Want to go dance, since we fail at light hearted conversation?" she asked, finishing her drink and setting the glass down.
Hayden smiled and set his glass aside, trying not to focus too much on something he couldn’t change, at least not right this second. “Yeah, let’s go dance,” he agreed. It’d been a while since he’d danced and maybe it would make him forget the news he’d just received.
