He pulled her in as she finished her twirl, clasping her round the waist. “Does that mean I get to steal you away? We don’t have to go to the party, you know,” he said, deeply. They’d been taking things slow, but with her looking like that, he couldn’t help his mind going to other places right now.
Wren blushed and gave a little giggle. "We do so have to go to the party. I was promised dancing!" she said with a smile after she put her arms around his neck. Giving him a look that could only be described as coy, she added one thing more. "but no one said we had to stay all night..."
“That’s very true,” Charlie said, seriously, nodding at her. “Then - we should really get going. After all, the sooner we arrive, the sooner we can leave...” he pointed out, his mouth curving up into a grin.
Wren was loving this. Her costume and the attitude that went with it were intoxicating. She felt socially confident in a different way than usual. She felt pretty. Everything played in to making her not second guess herself. Not if Charlie was looking at her like this.
Offering his arm to her, CHarlie stepped slightly to the side. “Shall we?” he asked, waiting for her to take it.
Wren took his arm with a smile. "Lets." she replied. This night was going to be so fun!
