Re: Kyle and open!
Matt hadn’t put nearly as much work into his costume as Kyle had but an effort had been made none the less; as well as cutting a fine figure in the suit and opera cape in their own right, his hair had been wrestled into submission with pomade, a feat in and of itself, and livid red make-up peeked around the edges of the white mask covering half of his face completing the look. In truth, the only thing that spoiled the effect of the costume was the camera slung over his shoulder but he tried to keep it covered by the cape when he wasn’t snapping photos. Really he could have left it in his room but he hadn’t wanted to miss the opportunity to take some interesting shots of people in costume so the camera came with, even if it did automatically reveal who he was.
He had watched the goings on for a little while from his favourite vantage point, trying to see who he could recognise before heading downstairs and it was from there he had spotted the large pair of silvery wings. The artful way the body paint had been applied gave Matt an idea of who they belonged to and headed towards them; he had yet to spot Edan and it would be good to talk to someone he actually knew, even if the last time he’d spoken to the artist had had an unfortunate ending.
“T…that’s a wonderful costume,” he offered by way of a greeting, what little of his mouth left uncovered by the mask curving up in a smile. “You look like you’ve stepped out of Paradise Lost.”
