Mental note: Don't ask too many unanswerable questions around Brady. There was no missing the look Brady gave him. Apparently, he'd need to find someone else to try and reason out the whys with. And wouldn't his old science teachers be proud? They'd always tried to get him to pay more attention to the whys.
So when Brady suggested he check out his own room, he shrugged. He wasn't stupid and could figure out that staying wasn't going to get him anywhere except for possibly on Brady's bad side. He could just as easily talk himself through this whole thing on his own, and doing so would at least be less likely to alienate the one sort-of-ally he had here. Besides, he could understand the desire to be alone. He might not share it, but he understood.
Grabbing his bag, he stopped for a second to glance back at Brady before he left. "If this whole thing is real, I guess I'll see you later. Try and keep yourself out of trouble in the meantime." He wasn't looking for an agreement, or an answering sentiment, even if he did genuinely mean it. Brady seemed like he could be an okay guy.
Not really waiting for an answer, Jason exited the room, continuing on the way they had been going. Room four... Well, if nothing else, this was going to be... interesting.
