"Don't be ashamed of being a janitor, girl," Carmel said. "My daddy always said, be nice to the cooks and the janitors, because they're the ones who can do stuff for you and to you, if you make them mad." She chuckled softly for a second. "Drinks are always nice," she said. It looked like a good bottle of wine, anyway, though she was no expert she could generally identify such.
"I'll put him on my list. I do like to read to unwind sometimes. I just get busy other times." And evenings she hoped to have company more often, which would be really nice, she thought fondly. She made a note that she should check on Wu tonight if he didn't come to her room, since the jury stuff had been going on. She grinned again. "Yeaaaah, it goes like that," she said. "Especially with men. I couldn't comment on women."
