There was a little relief to be had with the quiet assurance, and Becka had no trouble believing him. "Thank you," she replied gratefully. It wasn't even as much for her, as just wanting to know that whoever it was wouldn't be able to hurt anyone else in the same way, and she still felt that if she could trust anyone to ensure that, it would be Wu.
Becka felt her stomach do a little flip at Wu's urging, and her smile dimmed just a bit. She nodded, though, able to recognize that the advice was sound and would probably do wonders to save her sanity. It would be incredibly difficult not to think of this place, with the people she was leaving behind, but maybe it would come easier with time. "I'll do my best to do that," she promised him, though she doubted that she would be able to fully. Hadn't she already put some things in place to not forget about this place by wanting to keep in contact with some people here? But she could try to move on and put her focus and energy into her new life. "And when your time comes, I hope you'll be able to do the same," she said gently. She really believed that he could have a wonderful future if he would allow himself to put the past behind him.
