"Oh, it's easy to get down anywhere. I think it's just being guinea pigs that has people flailing. But either way, I'm super excited for you. I'm glad you're getting out and you get to start over. You've got your whole life ahead of you--literally! So, go you!" Autumn said, honest to god happy. She'd been feeling very much down herself, but this was more than enough to re-ignite her inner happy fire.
It took just a little effort to ensure that Autumn’s reminder that they were all essentially guinea pigs didn’t bring her mood down. She was getting to leave, but she still hated the idea that those who would be left behind were still going to be experimented on. “Right, yes! I will go! And I was telling Adam earlier that I’m thinking of going back to school. Ahh! The possibilities are endless,” she said with a little laugh. And just a little overwhelming, but she would figure it out. Things would probably be a bit less overwhelming once she was actually out of here and knew where she was and who she was going to be.
"They really are." Autumn said. "Good luck in everything that you choose to do." she told her, meaning it. "Meanwhile, we're all going to strive to follow in your footsteps." she assured. "Maybe we'll see each other again someday, and we can get to know who the new us's are." she suggested.
“Thank you,” Becka said warmly, appreciating the well wishes. “And I do really hope that you’ll be successful with this, too.” She couldn’t imagine Autumn not being able to graduate in a decent amount of time, the other girl was just so positive and fun, though she realized that fun wasn’t really a prerequisite to graduating. She giggled just a bit at the suggestion. “Oh, I don’t know, it’s always a possibility! It’s a small world, after all.” And the song hadn’t started playing in her head at that, really.
"It really is." Autumn said. She smiled at Becka again, then gave her another little hug. "Good luck. I'm sure you won't really need it." she said, figuring Becka wanted to get back to her party and all, but she was really very glad she'd gotten to say goodbye and all. Plus she honestly did feel...lighter? Something like that, at this whole thing.
Becka returned the little hug. “Thank you,” she said again, hoping that Autumn was right. She gave her one last smile and small squeeze before she noticed someone else waving at her, urging her to continue mingling with everyone there.
