Autumn had mingled a little with people, and when she spotted an opening, she headed up to Becka. "Hey!" she said. "Congratulations!" she said warmly, really excited on a number of levels just with this entire thing. She also gave Becka a bit of a hug, keeping it quick in case it wasn't wanted, but wanting to sneak it in there.
The party was definitely in full swing now, and Becka was happy to see people mingling, even if she was starting to feel just a bit exhausted from the explosion of social interaction after practically hiding herself away for several days, but it was a good tired, she thought. When Autumn greeted her, she returned the quick hug with a smile, despite her cheeks aching from smiling so much tonight. “Thank you!” she replied happily.
"Mazie sends her best--she had a few things she needed to get taken care of, but she wanted to be sure you got her well wishes." she said. Then she bounced on the balls of her feet just a little, beaming. "So, are you excited?" Autumn asked brightly, excited herself for it all.
“Aww, well be sure to tell her thanks from me,” Becka replied. She was a little disappointed that she hadn’t had much of a chance to get to know her or Mazie better in her time here, but she did wish them good things for the future. She couldn’t help but laughing at the way Autumn bounced, and she nodded her head at the question. “Oh, yeah! Of course! Excited... Nervous. I have no idea what to expect, but... if it’s really what they’re saying? Well, I just really can’t wait to start my new life now!”
"I wish we could hear from you!" Autumn said. "But I suppose we'll all just have to dream. It's just so exciting to see it happening, y'know? So, I'm just giddy, I'm so happy for you. I think we all kind of needed a little morale boost, honestly, and you, sweetie, have definitely provided that." she said. Hell, even just a little glance around at people gathering, smiling...it was all good to see. She winked at Becka. "Smells like Hope in here."
Becka wrinkled her nose a bit, understanding exactly what Autumn was saying. She wished that she could keep in touch with some of the people here, which was why she’d suggested ways to Grace and given Adam her email address for when he got his second chance, but more than that, she understood that to hear from someone who’d graduated, to have that assurance that what they were offering was real would be an incredible thing. “I definitely know!” she agreed with a soft giggle. “I’m glad to be part of something that’s giving people hope, though. It’s too easy to get down here.”
