Laughing a little, Violet smiled at Becka. "I'll make the attempt. No promises, though!" she said good naturedly. She and Cal did tend toward workaholism. But she knew Becka had a point on that, too. She probably did need to get out of the clinic and maybe, say, meet more people or something. "You just promise you're going to go out there and have a great life."
The response really had been expected, and Becka laughed just a bit at it. “Of course!” she agreed, unsurprised, though she did hope that Cal and Violet would do more than work here. “I promise! I will do my very best,” she assured Violet. Feeling moved, she reached out and pulled Violet into a quick hug. “Thank you for everything,” she murmured before pulling back with a somewhat emotional smile.
Violet hugged Becka back easily, giving the blonde a squeeze. "Thank you right back. I just know you'll be okay." she said, honestly meaning that. Becka seemed to have bounced back, and that was the best news ever. Hell, Violet took that as more positive even than proof that graduation could happen. "I'll let you mingle here, I'm sure a lot of people want your attention. But I'm glad I met you."
Becka hoped that Violet was right on that count. She wanted to be okay and was going to try her best to be. Nodding just a bit, she smiled and said, “I’m glad I met you, too.” And she meant it. “I really hope that you’ll get your second chance soon.” Because Violet did deserve it, very much so.
"I'm workin on it." Violet said warmly. "But either way, congratulations, Becka. I can't think of anyone who would deserve it more."
