"Sure thing, if you want to do it," she said, welcoming the help. She grabbed the towel she'd tossed to the side when she'd come in and wiped her face, tossing it over her shoulder. "It's going to be lasagna tonight, and I did most of the prep last night, so unless they finish a whole dish there shouldn't be too much to do other than the basics."
She nodded at his question. "You may. I'm pretty open about it," she said, moving to sit on the end of a weight bench, rotating her feet at the ankles slowly. "I took revenge on the guy who assaulted me after the court system let him go," she said. "Made sure he'd never be able to do it again." She tilted her head, watching him for his reaction.
