Carmel watched him without coming to a stop, keeping a tempo of sorts going while she took in his first couple of moves. She didn't want to have to amp it back up, but she wanted to at least get it somewhat down before trying. "Got it," she said, panting just a little though she wasn't nearly ready to quit now.
She repeated the move, knee slamming up into the air, arms tucked into a defensive position as she did so. She visualized what he was saying, trying to get it precisely right. All the way up to the ribs, knock the air right out them, she thought. She did it a couple of more times, glancing back over at him. "Like this?" she said between breaths, looking for either an affirmative or a correction.
It was a pleasant surprise to have things added in. She was definitely a little rusty, and those last few years before she got in here had been so busy with other things as well. She wondered if he'd care to join her more often, if it kept going like this. She could really get back into shape.
