Maybe I said that, Cal thought but didn’t voice, nodding to Dominic. “I’ll be getting together with her sometime soon to figure out procedure around the facility, we’ll go over it then,” he assured Dom, not wanting to have the talk either, but knowing it was part of the job. “And if the paperwork comes through, just send word and I can go over everything with you in the dryest of terms.” For now, though, he’d just have to hope that he wouldn’t be called into... inaction.
"I will. Let me know if there's any problems on your end." Dominic said. "And thanks again, for the information, and everything. And the most important part, helping my girl out." he said, giving Cal a smile. "Good luck with the rest of..." he made a vague gesture to their surroundings, then turned to leave.
“Tell her to take it easy on that wrist,” Cal called after him, watching Dom go. There was way too much day left scheduled down here, time Cal needed for his notes. He wasn’t going anywhere, though. Moving back around his work table, Cal dropped back into his chair with a sigh, reaching for a fresh score sheet. It’d do for now.
