It was obvious that Cal liked hearing that she took care of herself; what doctor wouldn't? It crossed off countless risk factors from Carmel's picture of health, not to mention that it gave a glimpse of some base persona. "Set up's still a mystery to me," Cal admitted, "I've been told I'm going to get proper clinic space, but I can't make a claim 'bout it yet. Until then, I'm gonna be 'round here if someone needs a visit, or people can come pound on room six if there's a crisis."
It felt good to be able to lay that out, to establish how to find him if and when someone got hurt. Cal had only been locked up for six months, but he'd missed it immensely. "And count me in, so long as I don't fill up too much. Lasagna was the only good thing my hospital cafeteria put out, so it's an old friend to this man."
