"Well shit," Cal murmured, looking over the old scarring. He heard the respiratory weakness, but to have the full picture put out there for him? It was informative, sure, but horrific too. Really, Cal was amazed that Leandro was still alive after enduring so much trauma; he'd seen far more people who didn't make it in his time at the hospital, and plenty of others who never regained what Leandro seemed to have in mobility.
"When's the last time you had an exam? X-rays, quantitative tests for breath capacity, physical therapy?" Cal asked, sitting back and starting to write again. "I mean, s'good that you're fillin' me in, but intubation or even a stint's not a fix, just a stopgap. You gotta get some focus directed at undoing whatever damage you can, even if it's jus' that extra huff of breath on a flight of stairs."
