Evening in the Library
Who: Grace and Susanna
Setting: Library, Evening

Grace was looking forward to a bit of a quiet evening after all of the excitement of the night before. Even if the night itself had been fairly calm, getting locked out of your own room wasn't the most pleasant of things. What she thought that she might do was pick out a few books from the library and retire to her room for the evening, reading away the night. She walked into the library, heading toward the fiction section, fingers moving over the books, trying to think of what she might take.

She had actually read more than a few of the books here. She had always liked the classics. Still, there were few things nicer than curling up with a book you knew was good and enjoying the evening to yourself, especially after a day of work, which she didn't have right now. She had to admit that she liked the idea of having a job here, and not something unseemly like laundry or cafeteria worker like you would get at a regular prison. A shop worker agreed with her well. She might like the idea of governor, but Wu was a good candidate, and she had to admit something: she didn't like a target on her head. Anyone who might 'run' this place would possibly incur just that. Plus, a post on a possible 'council' agreed with her a little more.

When her slim fingers ran across The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald, she smiled. She thought this might be a good book for the night. Plucking it from the shelf, she opened it, fingers running over the title page.
