Begin whine

I just want to write. I'd blame the holidays, but the lack of writing with anyone in my group has been going on for MONTHS now. I'd think that it's me, but no one is writing.

I've looked for other games, but anything that I find is panfandom. Nothing wrong with that at all, but I've never been in a panfandom and I'm afraid I'll screw it up and people will come at me, lol.

I've also looked at PSL's as well as ~pbads and ~pbadz and honestly it all looks so daunting and gives me anxiety.

I just want to write, to play, to draw stick figures in whatever sandbox I can find to play in. And for once, I'd like to play my character through to the end; I'd like to see my character move through their plots instead of sitting feeling bereft because the game just stops.

/End whine, mopes out

Anyone know where to look, where to go?

	Heck even the ones who do reply to ads don't last anymore. I think I have been flaked on more in the last few weeks than I have practically since I have been on this server. It's very disheartening and has pushed me close to rage quitting more than a few times. Equal as frustrating having the muses who want out and play in the sandbox as you put it. I know it looks daunting and can even feel that way; but in the end, putting out an ad for something you really want can bring great things. I think just looking at it with a little more hope can help a great deal. You don't know who might be waiting for just what you're talking about, you know?

I know that it's easier said than done to get over those feelings, though. I've been there many times, and many times have come away feeling kinda burned by experiences on here. But I've also made some really good friends through this site; people who stick around, and who also deal with my stupid on and off over the course of years. Literally years.

So, I'd go into those comms, and shake a leg at someone, and see what you get, love <3 I think you'll find something good, just gotta give it time is all <3

	I think the biggest problem is knowing how hard it is to break into things with people you don't know. Especially games where people have known each other since forever and have their own "cliques" with whom they are comfortable with. There's that; but that's another way I've met friends. There are people out there, with kindness and openness. They might be few and far between at this point, honestly - but they're around, I promise. I hope you find some :3

May I suggest stilettos and fishnets? Does the trick :D XDD Sorry, I'm running on 4 hours of sleep and no food. The stupid comes and comes hard.

	I mean, it's the way I met the group I've currently been with the past couple of years. They made it easy, but I've had places where they want the people but they don't actually want the people. I always seem to have better luck in games than PSLs, who always always flake on me. If you want to give panfandom a try, I wouldn't worry about it. I can't think of away that you would screw it up. Some games even allow original characters, if that's more your thing to write.

But as for writing, I have noticed that writing has really tapered off in the past couple of years. I don't know if it's the state of the world or the writers on this site are just moving on, but yeah. Having been doing this for years, I definitely have felt a shift in things. It's sad. Like you, I just want to write and explore my characters.

	If you're willing to switch RP platforms to forums, RPG-D has a nice, big listing of active games in various genres and fandoms. They take down listings for sites that have gone inactive periodically, and most forums have some kind of active topics list so you can see what's been posted in recently (like a friends page, but better) (Reply to this)

	If you want to play panfandom in a safe, judgy-free place, Madison Valley is the best. No one tells you how to play your character. We get it that it's how YOU see the character. Plus, there's such a thing as "character development". The character will change as time passes in game. We just like to play. (Reply to this)

i feel this one. it’s why i came out of semi-retirement, because that urge to just write and lose myself in world building and exploration won’t go away when you’re the only person sitting in the sandbox. i don’t have a group of people to write with anymore, so i joined a game, but haven’t had much opportunity to write and develop the character so i’m right back to stage one. it’s very discouraging.

	I've been looking for this exact thing, a round robin style rp but basically writing a novel. I have no idea who you are or if we would have preferences in common but if you want to reach out, I wouldn't hate at least having a quick discussion to see if there's potential there?
