more of an honest question than a rant.

if you discover that a handful of players you know created a gpsl, and that they didn't invite you, but as far as you know, there aren't any personal ooc issues between you and that group of players, would you feel comfortable approaching them to ask if you could join?

Depends on if you actually liked those people. I say there's nothing wrong with asking, the worst they can do is say no.

Depends on how well you know them?

i don't think there's anything wrong asking but i wouldn't be comfortable. my anxiety would build it up too much. that's me tho.

I think it depends on how well you know them and how you found out about it. Also, how you'd feel if they say no. If you feel like you'd feel rejected or upset after asking then best not to. But if you're okay with them saying 'no, we just wanted to play it out with who we got' then I say no harm in letting your interest be known.

Did you end up asking them about it?

i didn't. per what ~meimei and ~damnthemuses said, i didn't want to risk how it'd make me feel if they said no. i already have enough social anxiety, i don't need to add to it by putting myself out there just to be rejected

You know what, I don't think I would've either. Even potential rejection makes everything feel worse!
