Narcissa was surprised by the request, for all it was not the first time Regulus had asked her to indulge him. She had practiced Divination in secret since her fourth year at Hogwarts, going so far as to keep her skill - she was hesitant even to think of it as such - from her family and her husband. Regulus, however, knew well of his cousin's oddity. She had not told him, of course, for even Regulus could not have pried it from her, but he had hidden once under a chair when very small and caught her at it.
"You know it doesn't work like that, Reg," she said softly, a twinge of anxiety in her voice. Still, she rose from where she had been seated and recovered her cards. Her wand was needed to open the drawer where she kept them, which was locked with magic and under a Disillusionment Charm. A second charm disguised the cloth they were wrapped in, but once she had dispensed of her protective measures she placed the worn stack on the little oak table in the corner where she liked best to read.
