THE SLAYERS
"If you think that's enough to kill me, you really don't know what a Slayer is. Trust me when I say you're gonna find out."
Given all the things that go bump in the night, it's only fair that Mother Nature devised her own defence against them. This defence comes in the package of a human, usually a female, who is born with enhanced reflexes, speed and strength and ability to sense supernatural beings. No one knows exactly when the first Slayer appeared but for as long as there have been Slayers there has also been the Watcher community. Together they form a cohesive unit which fight back against Vampires, Werewolves and Shifters - all without any recognition from the people they routinely save.
Slayers are the result of nature trying to control and police the supernatural population. Without them the world would be overrun with scary, murderous beings and the human race wouldn't have stand a chance. Their exact origin is unknown but one very popular rumour it that Slayers actually stem from the original line of Vampires - hence their enhanced abilities and 'spidey sense'.

The asylum is large. You can feel it as soon as you open your eyes in the darkness of whatever room you've been assigned. However only a bit of it is open at the moment. Just a small taste of things to come. Don't worry. There are plenty of things to do. And you won't be staying here very long. No, The Powers That Be have all manner of things in store for you. Different worlds to explore. Some will be fun. Some will be horrific. Then you'll come back to the asylum.
Which isn't exactly a peach. She's haunted, you see. Or possessed. Whatever it is, there are monsters in the dark corners. Evil things hiding in the shadows. There are rooms you should never enter and no matter how hard you try, you can never find a door leading outside. Sure you can look out the windows. Each one will show a different landscape outside and different times of the day too.
But you can't leave. |

TRAPPED IN A LARGE, HAUNTED ASYLUM WITH STRANGERS, YOU MUST LEARN TO SURVIVE WHATEVER THE POWERS THAT BE DECIDE TO TOSS IN YOUR DIRECTION.
