[09 Aug 2012|10:55am] The year is 1996 and there have been changes at Hogwarts. Professor Severus Snape has taken over as the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor, the position he’s coveted. Horace Slughorn, an old friend of Albus Dumbledore, has taken over as the Potions professor and is become very important to the Headmaster and his mission. As there are changes, there are some things that always stay the same. There are Quidditch victories to be won, teenage romances to be had and exams to be taken. The world is changing, teenage priorities are not. mandrake is a canon based game set in the trio's sixth year. We will be exploring both social aspects and the political aspects of the students' lives at Hogwarts. Our group consists of an open-minded and diverse ensemble of writers with an even more varied cast of characters. Yet, as the Trio disappear on the search for the Horcruxes, the world does not stand still. Instead, things are getting progressively worse as Hogwarts faces a new Headmaster, Professors and the oppression of a Ministry intent on putting across their agenda. For those outside the walls, things aren't much better with the introduction of the Muggleborn Registration Committee, and the rapid criminalization of Muggleborns as the Ministry intends to bring about the golden age of wizard kind.
