In the year 2000, King Orion of the Ancient and Most Noble House of Black celebrated his 71st birthday by charging his brothers, Alphard and Cygnus, with treason and ordering their execution. Though evidence was scarce and circumstantial at best, Orion was convinced they were trying to kill him, and in this ancient monarchy, the king's word is law. Now, with the royal family divided, Orion continues his decent into madness, with his actions and decrees grow more and more erratic each day. No one in the royal family can stand up to him, not without risking their heads, and the kingdom's only hope comes in the form of the Order of the Phoenix. Led by Albus Dumbledore, they only want one thing: to dismantle the monarchy and form a democracy. Despite the king's loyal guards and ranks of nobility determined to see it stand, they steadily gain more and more supporters throughout the kingdom. However, Orion will do anything to take them down, even if it means tearing the United Kingdom apart. A war is brewing, and everyone from the princes to the commoners must choose a side. In Death We Sleep [20 Dec 2011|03:34pm] Premise In the land of Abenforth you are one of three kinds of people. You are Human and therefore better than everyone else. You are Dragon and looked down upon as filthy, scavenging lizard hybrids. Or you are Mystic and feared because you posses powers no one really understands. Whatever your race, you live in your own shire with your own kind unless you like sleeping with a dagger in your hands or you're incredibly foolish. Sure, there has been the semblance of tolerance among the three races but it is held together by a very tenuous thread. The Peacekeeper is the only man alive to be both Dragon and Mystic, born from Human parents. As long as he lives the lands will live alongside one another in harmony. In the middle of the three townships is Redgrave Castle. While it has been generations since a true king has ruled over Abenforth there has always been a steward who was fair and kind. Until recently. When the previous man died of a mysterious illness and this new man, a Human who called himself Dervil, took his place there spread rumors far and wide of his corruption. Slowly the castle was filling with courtiers of all races and temperaments. Dervil's men, his knights, his lords and ladies all of questionable character. Many fear for the Peacekeeper who is kept inside the castle "for his own safety" and know that if he is lost a true war will begin until another Peacekeeper is found.
