Crescendo is an AU Marauders Era RPG taking place in 1981, when the war is in full swing. What we offer you is the chance to determine the outcome of the war not through canon or through the mods telling you where the plot will go, but through your character's actions. We believe in giving you the freedom to let your characters and plots develop as they do naturally, without having to worry about making it fit into the outcome.

As the new millennium dawns, Wizarding England is a bleak place. A failing economy and skyrocketing unemployment has most of the citizens living hand-to-mouth, strict laws seperate the muggleborns from the rest of society, and harsh punishments are visited on anyone who steps out of line. Violence and riots spring up, only to be met with force from the Ministry. The Ministry keeps its people under control by fostering a fear of muggles, leading the population to believe that muggles are one step away from discovering them, and that they would all be rounded up and killed if that happened.
Unknown to most of the country, Voldemort and his Knights of Walpurgis run the government, ordering everything to suit their own ends. Though the population believes Voldemort to be dead (twice), he dictates everything, patient in his immortality and confident that his hiding is only temporary. At every turn, the Order tries to thwart them, but the Knights rarely use brute force anymore. The subtle weapons of propaganda and policy prove to be a deadly force, but the Order isn't beaten yet. They know Voldemort's weakness: the horcruxes. But they have to work fast. Because Voldemort has a new plan... |

In the Muggle world, Fleetwood Mac have released their famous ‘Rumours’ album. In the Wizarding world, things are slightly darker...
Lord Voldemort has spent the last few years gathering a following of witches and wizards who call themselves the Death Eaters. This band of masked figures seeks to raise the pureblooded magical people to their rightful place. In response to the growing threat, another group had formed - The Order of the Phoenix is composed of the greatest witches and wizards of the age, determined to fight against Voldemort’s growing presence in their world.
And then there’s Hogwarts, which is about to be subjected to the class of 1978. James Potter, Sirius Black, Remus Lupin and Peter Pettigrew are suddenly at the top of the school, heading in for their seventh and final year. With the first term starting, whose side will you be on?

In 2010, the Misuse of Muggle Artifacts Office of the Ministry of Magic finally granted permission for the next wave of muggle electronics -- the television -- to be studied and modified with magic. Ten years later, there was a telly in the home of every witch and wizard with programming ranging from goblin talk shows to galleon game shows to dramas, comedies, music videos, and even movies. More recently, 2021 saw the advent of reality shows, like The Fashion Show and Love Potion No. 9.
Get Real! was conceived by Maximus Trimble and Rhonda Roads as a way to appeal to the teenage demographic as well as pull in an older crowd on the strength of nostalgia. It's a reality TV show all about the life of the "average" Hogwarts student and the drama, laughs, and loves that blossom between them.
Season 1 begins filming this school year. By proxy of returning to school this year all students and parents have given their permission to be featured and/or mentioned on the programme. And if certain liberties happen to be taken with the presentation of the footage, well... that's just show business!

Prescripted is a social next gen game based on the premise "what if a reality show were being filmed at Hogwarts?" It's The Office meets Harry Potter. Cameras and microphones are not allowed in the bathrooms, locker rooms, or any of the dormitories, but anywhere else on the school grounds is fair game. Just because you can't see them doesn't mean the cameras aren't rolling... |
