Crescendo [15 Aug 2011|04:58am] It's 1981. Voldemort is on the rise. Death Eaters roam free. Hundreds have died or disappeared. As each day passes, the resistance grows weaker. Voldemort seems to be invincible and all hope seems lost, that is until a Prophecy is made; a child with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord will be born as the seventh month dies to those who have thrice defied him and with a power that the Dark Lord will not understand. This child will bring an end to Voldemort's reign. And so the Dark Lord set out to kill this child before he could grow into a threat. We all know the story, little Harry Potter is that child, his parent's die to protect him, the Dark Lord falls, Sirius Black is sent to prison, The Longbottoms are tortured to insanity, dozens more die, and the survivors are left broken. But let's not get further into that, because we all know that story. Because, what if the story had a different outcome? What if you had a chance to re-write canon? Decide who lives? Who dies? Who wins the war? What if you could re-write history? Here is your chance! Crescendo is an AU Marauders Era RPG taking place in 1981, when the war is in full swing. Super Glee RPG [15 Aug 2011|11:01am] Rules | Holds | Apply | Cast | Timeline Lima, OH looks like any other small town in the middle of America. It's citizens are the epitome of normal, and nothing much ever happens. But things are not all as they appear in this small town, and things are far from normal. 60 years ago, during the height of the McCarthy-era, Lima was turned from a normal, all-American town into a holding area for people with...abilities. A statue was erected in the center of town that suppressed these powers, and over time people forgot they'd ever been different. On July 4th, 2011, 60 years to the day the statue was erected, a freak lightning storm swept through town. The damage to Lima itself was minimal, but the statue was destroyed. For weeks, no one noticed anything was different, until one day...it was. No one quite knows who was the first, but by the time August began nearly every teenager in Lima was exhibiting odd...symptoms. Headaches, fevers, vomiting...people thought it was just a massive flu outbreak, but the truth was far more than that. And then suddenly...the symptoms stopped. Almost as if they'd never been there to begin with. Things went back to normal, a new statue was put up in place of the old one, and life went on. But this statue wasn't like the old one, made of simple stone and plaster, and nature can only go so long before correcting itself. For the players: As of game start, no one will have powers. The unnatural awakening of a hybrid vampire and werewolf. A firm of lawyers that could bring the very denizens of hell to Earth. There has always been a constant struggle for the balance between good and evil. More than once the Powers have had to step in to try and right the balance. Every small decision, every sacrifice, was noted, changed the course of worlds. But evil doesn't play fair, it doesn't follow rules, and it doesn't like to lose. Teaming up for a single purpose, the Evil of the world is taking the fight out of time and space. They've built a world in a bubble of time and summoned their enemies, our heroes, our champions. A Game of Thrones [15 Aug 2011|06:04pm] A GAME OF THRONES AU GROUP PSL Greetings from the Seven Kingdoms! We are recruiting players for a plot-heavy Game of Thrones group PSL on InsaneJournal, and we the mods (as well as the players) are seeking commited writers for a variety of main roles including but not limited to; Joffrey Baratheon, Oberyn Martell, Asha Greyjoy, Catelyn Stark, Stannis Baratheon, Davos of Fleabottom, the Hound & the Mountain, Euron & Victarion Greyjoy, Jon Connington, Jeor Mormont, Benjen Stark, Mance Rayder, Pyp & Grenn, Samwell Tarly, Edmure Tully, Jojen Reed, Doran Martell, Ellaria Sand, Barristan Selmy, Mace Tyrell, Willas & Garlan Tyrell, Obara & Nymeria Sand, the Queen of Thorns, Beric Dondarrion, Selyse Florent, Jon & Robert Arryn, Kevan Lannister, Trystane & Quentyn Martell, Roose Bolton & Ramsay Snow, Bronn, Jaqen, Shae and many others, including original characters! The basic premise of this AU is that when Robert Baratheon and Rhaegar Targaryen met on the trident it was the stag who was struck down and the dragon prince that prevailed in his place, thus changing the lay of the land, so to speak. The game is set in the same year as the books begin, with almost all of the same characters, though certain characters have been aged up in keeping with the television series. The game started on June 11th and both the mods and players are very helpful and more than willing to talk plot with new and old players alike! There is lots of room for individual lines as well as a lot of group plot spurred and supported by the mods, who are available to help drum up plot for characters that are struggling to find interaction.
