[05 Jul 2011|12:19am] ONE DECISION CAN CHANGE THE WORLD Changed is an AU game that follows a timeline which assumes that Peter Pettigrew made quite a different choice in 1981. Rather than betraying his closest friends to Voldemort, Peter confessed his regretted Dark Mark to Albus Dumbledore and to the Order of the Phoenix. As a result, when Voldemort came to the Godric’s Hollow on Halloween, he was met with the full force of the Order’s power, which broke his own. At the time, it was thought that Voldemort had been defeated forever, but now the world knows know that this was not the case and a second war is building. In the midst of that war, a boy who never was The Boy Who Lived has a prophecy to fulfill, but that boy’s world is immensely different. How different? [05 Jul 2011|02:05am] 1977 is a dark time for the Wizarding World. A powerful Dark wizard known only as Lord Voldemort has been making a steady climb towards power, and with him, he brings his ideals: pureblood supremacy and extermination or suppression of muggles and muggleborns. To his followers, he promises power and glory beyond imagination; to his enemies, he promises death. The students inside Hogwarts castle have been, up to now, relatively sheltered from the events outside its walls. However, when they board the train to school, three of their number are missing. Three muggleborn students and their families have been killed by Lord Voldemort and his followers the night before they were to leave for school, and this triple massacre makes the conflict entirely too personal for many students. As with any war, lines are drawn. Families and close friends stand on either side, wrenched apart by their beliefs. Many students lie awake at night trying to decide where their loyalties lie, and just how to shift from the grey neutrality of school to the black and white of its outside world. The above principle illustrates the theory of this L-Space: large quantities of books tend to warp time, space, and reality. Pockets of L-Space usually manifest themselves in those improbable little bookstores which are far bigger on the inside than their appearances on the outside say they should be. L-Space links every library and every book, and ever world contained therein. It is highly unstable. Usually, the tenders of L-Space can keep on top of things. Up until now, they've managed to keep it from tearing the very fabric of reality, or making the universe as we know it implode, but things have recently gotten a little... strained. L-Space has started bending in on itself and drawing in people from different realities. But not to worry! There are others about to keep you company, and a few librarians who are tinkering with the fabric of this new little world to try and make things more comfortable for you. [05 Jul 2011|06:39pm] In the wake of coming in 12th place at Nationals, New Directions returned to Lima with even more determination. Next year was going to be different. Friendships were tested and shaken, while other relationships expanded and deepened. The next school year would be different. Senior year was upon more than half of New Directions and with it came the knowledge it was some of their last chance at Nationals. With the new school year comes many changes though. Most surprisingly are the new faces that showed up the first day at auditions. Some were young faces not yet known to New Directions vets. Other faces were those they hadn't expected to come calling. Regardless if they were welcome or not McKinley's Glee Club has and would always be a safe haven for all the losers that wanted to belong somewhere.
