Loveable genius, anyone? |

Hey, guys!
I'm looking for a good, solid home for my newest muse, Dr. Spencer Reid from TV's Criminal Minds. For those of you who aren't familiar with the series, Reid is a dorky, socially awkward genius who graduated high school at age twelve and holds three PhDs and three BAs. In the series, he works in the Behavioural Analysis Unit of the FBI, profiling catching serial killers and other criminals with severe mental illnesses. Check out the series on Wikipedia for a little more info.
I've been playing him for a short while now, and I'm looking for a good roleplay to join to try him out. I'm also interested in any other RPing Criminal Minds fans out there who would possibly want to try their hand at RPing one of the characters and work out some one-on-one stuff. I'm not too sure how popular this series is when it comes to games, so I figured I would throw an ad out there and see if I got any bites.
I'm not fussy about plot or genre – anything from mutants to supernatural, medical to city- or life-based, as long as I can fit Reid in there somehow, I'm open minded! I'm very friendly and approachable; I write long, detailed posts and am always open to plotting with other players.
If anyone out there thinks Reid would be welcome in their game or would be interested in having him as a taken character, drop me a line in a comment here, or hit me up on AIM @ AwkwardGenius. Thanks in advance!

FAQ // Rules // Application // Cast It's happy hour at the Knife-in-the-Eye Pub. Kit Marlowe tends bar, and Tiberius Claudius Drusus Nero Germanicus is probably in the back cooking the books. The Knife-in-the-Eye is one of the more happening joints on Gropecunt Lane, somewhere in the underworld, where those who have been immortalized in song and story...are stuck.
One for the Books is a semi-structured, primarily comedic LJ RP for historical figures. Rulers, statesmen, scholars, artists, soldiers, and eccentrics from all periods and all places congregate at the Knife-in-the-Eye and contemplate the ineffable -- when they're not at each others' throats, that is. From Will Shakespeare introducing his fellow patrons to the joys of Elizabethan Scrabble, to Ramses II and Montezuma having a pyramid-measuring contest, to Peter the Great dangling things over Napoleon's head, to Nero and the Marquis de Sade throwing the craziest parties history's ever seen, to Vlad Tepes attempting to woo Countess Elizabeth Bathory, it's never boring.

In 2012, the world as we knew it came to a violent halt. A flash of light and the utter destruction of a peaceful, almost forgotten city marked the beginning of a war that would consume the globe in devastation. While countries rushed to pick and choose sides, its people remained on edge as the years dragged on and The War ravaged the planet. While the war became a natural fact of life to many, there were those still who knew that the end was barely around the corner – and they were right.
The end came in 2025, nearly thirteen years after it had begun. The warring countries had unwittingly set off dozens of nuclear warheads at each other, and while most of the world had been all but totally demolished by the end results, no one could have imagined the amount of damage done to what had been known as the United States. It was in Europe that humanity would find its hope in the form of a new body of government – the World Government was born out of the ashes of the past, and was the beacon of light meant to guide the surviving peoples of the western world.
Welcome to Bitter Season and all it encompasses; a world struggling to survive after a disastrous nuclear war but thirty years prior. With the events of the past year, the social climate of the few remaining Cities has changed dramatically. The World Government serves as a dictatorship in disguise, monitoring and defining every move made by its citizens. Tension between dissident, neutral, and government-allied parties is building. Rebellion is imminent.
