The year is 2005. It’s been seven years since the fall of The Dark Lord Voldemort. One would think that things were back to normal and peaceful. If you think that, then you’re dead wrong.
Convicted rapist and murderer, Fenrir Greyback has escaped from Azkaban and has already began to leave a trail of bodies behind him as he works on building a werewolf army, along with being intent on finishing what he started with Hermione Granger back at Malfoy Manor. Poor Crookshanks has already paid the price of his bloodlust. The leading vampire rights activist has been murdered and vampires are ready to expose everyone to the Muggles if the killer isn’t caught and if their demands aren’t met. The Muggle War is affecting Wizards left and right, from soldiers to suicide bombers in London. Harry Potter is still living a reclusive life, still dealing with PTSD from the war.
And the Head of the Magical Law Enforcement unit has just been murdered along with the Minister of Magic’s assistant…
Someone is hell-bent on killing every single person of importance in the Ministry of Magic.
On a non-violent front, Katie Bell is making enemies left and right since dramatically changing the way The Daily Prophet does it stuff, along with raising suspicions with gossip columnists at Witch Weekly, who want nothing but to make everyone out to be someone that they’re not. Minerva McGonagall has just revealed a secret that she’s been keeping for over thirty years. Molly Weasley is meddling into everyone’s lives, as usual.
Things are just beginning to get interesting.

Dinner at Seven, Murder at Midnight
Albus Dumbledore knows that Christmas is a time for celebration and for family and has made a tradition out of the two: every year, three days before the holiday, he invites family and whoever else he pleases to a special Yule celebration. Although most guests are related in some way, others are there more for Dumbledore’s entertainment than not, and with such a diverse group of witches and wizards all forced to coexist under one roof for Christmas, well. It’s not all that surprising that sometimes a few sparks tend to fly, is it?
But along with the usual lavish dinners and balls, there’s danger lurking in Aberforth Manor’s halls and when Dumbledore dies unexpectedly in the middle of the Yule gathering, his family and friends quickly become suspects. As the hours wear on it slowly becomes evident that everyone has a damning secret they would go to any lengths to keep and everyone has motive. Heavy with suspicion and no little amount of guilt, Dumbledore’s guests are faced with one simple, important question: who really did it?

Dinner at Seven, Murder at Midnight is a unique Harry Potter RPG that takes place in an alternate universe where what you think you know only scratches the tip of the iceberg. There is no Voldemort and there are no Death Eaters, but this world is no less dangerous. Here, the secrets everyone keeps and the passionate feelings they have for one another are the catalyst for a horrific, or perhaps justified, crime. Everyone has motive. Everyone is a suspect. Only one is the killer.
We’re a creative, dedicated team of mods with a passion for writing who are looking for the same traits in our players. Murder at Midnight will contain very mature themes so you must be 18+ to apply. We are slash, het, and femmeslash friendly, smut is encouraged, and of course this is an AU game so if the idea of any of this offends you, Murder at Midnight is probably not for you. Keep in mind, however, that there is a plot and point to the game.
Before applying, please be sure to read the rules and use the Guide and Canon vs. AU list to help with the process, as many key canon facts have been changed for this game. Remember, we want you to have fun with your character because our ultimate goal is for this game to be a good time for everyone involved!

What if there was no Voldemort? No Death Eaters and no Order of the Phoenix?
Would Lily and James end up together? Would Peter Pettigrew still betray his friends? Would Sirius ever be blasted off the family tree?
Here Comes the Sun is an AU Marauders era game taking place in a Universe where Tom Riddle never existed, exploring what life would have been like without the war. There is still a bigoted undercurrent that runs though society and the tensions between blood and house are high, but without the black and white evil of Lord Voldemort the lines have become blurred.
The game allows for players to take characters in different directions then their predestinations in the text. Both Hogwarts and home life are an integral part of the story, allowing for character development on every level. Mod assisted plots will give everyone something to do but past that their lives, loves and futures are up to you.
This is a game for people who love the world and characters of JKR but want something different from the war-focused games. It’s a chance to enjoy a fresh spin on old characters or pick up characters that are often unplayable in other games.
