Though the so-called Golden Age of King Char and Queen Ella is long over- so long ago now that few are still alive who can remember it- life continues on much as it ever did. Merchants travel the lands far and wide, finding new and exotic goods to bring back to Greenville, the town just outside the royal palace. Greenville's markets are thriving, and most of the town's inhabitants pay little mind to the castle looming in the distance. That is, of course, until The Gray Death appears. There is no known cure. Sufferers initially feel very weak, and are soon not even able to get out of bed. Overcome by fever, their complexions turn gray and they die. Still, Greenville believes it is safe- there are just rumors of the illness, and being so close to the castle, they're safe, right? Wrong. The illness knows no boundaries, a fact that is brought starkly to light when the King of Frell contracts the disease and dies a short time later. The King leaves behind a land in limbo- his wife, the Queen, is trying her level best to keep power from the hands of their immature son. Heroes search for a cure, trying to avenge their fallen King. And life in Greenville continues on, if a bit more cautiously. Happily ever after was never a guarantee. Fair is an original character role playing game inspired by Ella Enchanted, Fairest, and The Two Princesses of Bamarre by Gail Carson Levine. [19 Jul 2009|04:25pm] astounding! The mutant gene popped up unexpectedly in 1999 though some would argue it began in 2000. For a while, maybe a year or so this had gone unnoticed but it was only for so long that something so spectacular could go unnoticed. It was in Wisconsin a boy by the name of Sammy Johnson had been spotted flying above his house by one of his neighbors. Immediately the neighbor had done the most logical thing she could do, inform the police. The police investigated, but the boy (and his parents) could not prove anything about this supposed ability of flight. Then, not even a week later a girl was caught turning invisible, another girl was creating acidic poisons with her hands and a newly wed couple was controlling and creating fire. Naturally, the Government had to get involved. They'd gone to these homes and these families to question them about their abilities, and after much deliberating and time the first mutant hospital was created in 2002. Immediately these people were shipped away to the hospital for testing. The term "mutant" had been coined and was quickly applied to anybody who possessed powers. With the knowledge of these mutants out, the human race was now growing to understand the real term of fear. [19 Jul 2009|09:52pm] spliffy: harry potter, next generation Under the warm sunshine, another summer is coming to a close and there are students eagerly (or not so eagerly) returning to Hogwarts; the girls are loitering, the boys are ogling, and the gossip is lingering, as is always the case in a group of teenagers. Love faces off with sex, grades face off with parties, and truth faces off with falsities in the everyday drama at Hogwarts. However, since the Battle of Hogwarts, the Ministry of Magic has been slowly working on new protective measures to prevent such an event from ever threatening Great Britain's schools again. As years have passed, new restrictive spells have been cast on the grounds of Hogwarts. At the beginning of this school year, under the decree of Kingsley Shacklebolt, a radically developed charm will be cast over the entire grounds as a means to prevent the approach of evil spirits of any sort. Unbeknownst to the returning students and staff, however, this spell has a glaring flaw which has not yet been revealed; it cuts off all contact with the outside world. As students and teachers are separated from their parents, their families and the rest of Great Britain, what will they do to cope? Can they band together in support, or will they attack one another in bouts of cabin fever? Though all faculty members are hard at work to find a counter-spell, it may not come fast enough to save some friendships, relationships, or even lives. Oh, and there's spliff. Tolkien Halloween, 1981, the Dark Lord Voldemort fell at the hands of one-year old Harry Potter, bringing an end to a decade long reign of terror, to the relief of the entire Wizarding World. Death Eaters were imprisoned, wounds healed, and the Wizarding World spent the next decade healing from the pain of the first war. Yet, Voldemort was not truly defeated that night. He will rise once more, bringing upon another vicious war upon the Wizarding World. Everyone knows the story of James and Lily Potter and the story of their son, Harry, but until now, the story of what happened in between has been unknown. It is 1990, the year before Harry Potter will discover he is a Wizard. Professor Quirrell is off to Albania where he will become a vessel for the weakened Dark Lord, Charlie Weasley and his friends are in their seventh-year at Hogwarts, learning all about love, life, and Quidditch, and the foundation for the future is being paved.
