This an 18+ multi-fandom game based on the 4400.
Throughout the years, a number of people have disappeared without a trace. No bodies, no notes. It confused and baffled their loved ones. Parents were taken from their children. Children were taken from their parents. Lovers were separated.
On January 17th, 2058. Everything changed.
A large ball of light was discovered rushing towards Earth. It appeared that Seattle would be destroyed when it hit, but then the unthinkable happened: It slowed down. People gathered in droves around the field it was thought to inevitably hit. It was a once-in-a-lifetime event. Everyone sat in awe as the light flew down and hovered above the field. The ball expanded with such force that nothing else could be seen and many of the onlookers were knocked backwards. When the light dissipated, the field was completely empty; except for thousands of people.
These people had disappeared over the course of decades. Not one of them had aged a day. Not one of them remembered anything about where they were or how long they’d been gone. It was like they had traveled there straight from their last memory.
Soon, many of them realized that they had new abilities. They had been changed somehow. Some could teleport. Some could heal. Some could control the weather. They’d evolved somehow and nobody had any clue why or how.
Why had they been taken? Why had some been given abilities and not others? How had they not aged? Why were they all dropped in Seattle on the same day, some long after their families had died.
Most importantly, How are they all going to deal with it?

What will you imagine? Hallowed Ground is a game for writers, for creative spirits, for people who can see the stories yet untold. We work within the canon of Deathly Hallows, expanding the scope of the war far past the canvas walls of the Trio's tent and into Hogwarts, Shell Cottage, Malfoy Manor, Diagon Alley and beyond. We accept applications for any character mentioned in canon who is known to be alive, and encourage insightful takes on both characters we already know and particularly ones we've barely met. Everyone has a story to tell, memories in the making, and they're happening on Hallowed Ground.
We are community driven, with lots of player input and assistance. Founding moderators rotate with elected Player moderators, preventing power trips and encouraging player participation while still providing the necessary assistance and guidance to make a game run smoothly. Two levels of activity allow for whatever commitment you're able to make to the game. In short, we are a respectful, laid-back, friendly group of writers having a little fun in our free time, and we would love to have others seeking the same join us.
Currently we are hoping to recast characters who have left us. All resignations have been completely amicable; none have been due to player conflicts or OOC drama. In the majority of cases, these characters have not seen a large amount of action in the game, and can thusly be created as though they are new characters. Several have attached notations describing elements (mainly backstory) to be carried through. Almost all have plot they could be a part of and are very much wanted by players already cast.

"….Voldemort's powerful now. You don't know who his supporters are, you don't know who's working for him and who isn't; you know he can control people so that they do terrible things without being able stop themselves. You're scared for yourself, and your family, and your friends. Every week, news comes of more deaths, more disappearances, more torturing … The Ministry of Magic's in disarray, they don't know what to do, they're trying to keep everything hidden from the Muggles, but meanwhile, Muggles are dying too. Terror everywhere … panic … confusion …"
Across Europe the Wizarding Community lies in fear. Voldemort and his followers are on the rise, leaving behind a reign of terror in their wake. As his numbers increase, Wizards begins to grow more uneasy, increasingly choosing to fall prey to his Empire, out of fear, unwilling to stand up and fight.
In spite of the increasing danger, a small group of vigilante Wizards has begun to pull ranks, daring to do what the Ministry fears to do; fight. The Order of the Phoenix is slowly growing into a force to be reckoned with, threatening not only Voldemort, but the Ministry itself.
Change is on the brink and the students of Hogwarts. No longer will they be safe behind the confines of the castle, unaware to the real dangers of the world. They will soon be forced to make their own loyalties known; a decision that will affect not only the rest of their lives, but the entire Wizarding World.
Amongst the darkness, these students are potentially the light needed to give the Order the man power to take on Voldemort’s forces. As both sides fight to gain support, one question lies: which side do you choose?
Darkness Rising is a canon compliant Marauders Era RPG taking place in 1978. Game opened February 1, 2009.

The Fruitful Project
Original Character. Future. Arranged Marriage. 17 & Up.
In the year 2010 the world was plagued by the full effect of Global Warming. No country was spared and no one could imagine the speed in which it came. Within months entire cities were underwater, drier than deserts, or completely leveled. Thousands died and there was no end in sight. Many lost hope until 2020 when the Eden Project was founded.
The Eden Project was a last ditch effort by the human race. Surviving scientists came up with a chemical, a gas called 'Eden' that would hopefully cool the atmosphere enough to put a stop to the catastrophes happening around the world. Slowly but surely the temperature began to drop and the storms slowed. In the time between the beginning of the storms to the launch of the Eden Project, the world population had dropped from nearly seven billion to a little below five.
It was another six years before the effect of the 'Eden' chemical was known.
It began in 2028. There were suddenly less children being born and by the end of 2029, pregnancies stopped all together. The men and women of the world were now completely sterile. It was soon discovered that the Eden chemical was the cause of the sterilization, that the one thing that had saved the world had also doomed it to an inevitable ending, the population destined to dwindle down to nothing.

In 2048 a solution was found
The same lab that developed the Eden project has been working for the past nineteen years to reverse the devastating effects without destroying the now near perfect atmosphere of Earth. The Fruitful project was a serum, a cure that reversed the sterilization but only in people below the age of thirty.
The Global Government is taking a drastic step to increase the population. The Governments of the world began to administer the serum by administering it to everyone as a vaccine at doctor's appointments. To further insure that the population will continue to grow and to 'usher in a new era of life', a global law has been put into place. A marriage law. The Fruitful Law.
Every healthy, non-married person between the ages of nineteen and twenty-nine are to be married, whether by choice or by Government selection. The couple will have a one year period at the most after their marriage to conceive.
The Fruitful project is for the betterment of our world. Who will be your match?
