As gods and goddesses started to be called things of myth, it was obvious there was a difficult choice to face. With little option, they decided to join the humans to avoid becoming a just mere memory. Demi-gods, divine heroes, nymphs, creatures, great mythological human figures, beasts and objects alike from a variety of cultures joined the gods and goddesses in letting go of their standing to be reincarnated as mortals. Along with their past personalities, the human forms were granted with a single power as reminder of who they once were.
Myths, subconsciously drawn to other bodies of myths over the years, have migrated to Peachtree City, GA. The game holds a good collection of Greek myths already, but some great characters like Apollo, Aristotle, Athena, Enyo, Eros, Harmonia, Hera, Hephaestus, Hypnos, and Zeus are still open. Celtic, Hindu, Norse, and a wide variety of other myths are wanted too.

If you could live forever, what would you live for?

The Volturi are the most powerful force in the mythical world and will use their prestige and talent to obtain what they want, disregarding the means it takes to get it. Ever since witnessing the extraordinary power between the bond of Bella Swan and the Cullen family in addition to the strange ability Bella, a mere human, has against their prized skills, they give the Cullens an ultimatum: Transform Bella into an immortal or they'll do it themselves. Even with wedding invitations newly sent, a sure sign of the looming future regarding Bella's immortality, Alice has a vision that changes the course of everything. It seems they don't only require Bella's transformation -- they require Bella and will stop at nothing to have her become a part of them. Time is running out and important decisions need to be made. Who will ultimately change Bella? What will happen to the treaty between the vampires and the wolves regarding the severity of the issue? Who will fight if the Volturi refuse to settle things peacefully?

It’s the start of a new year. Sorceress Ultimecia’s reign of terror is over, and though SeeD has fulfilled its purpose, Garden’s doors remain open to children to face the inevitable foes that dare to replace her. Slowly but surely, it feels that the world is reverting back into its old rhythm and forgetting the wounds of yesteryear. Organisations continue to provide Balamb Garden with a steady line of clientele, utilising their teams of elite mercenaries by pulling them across-continent as personal soldiers. Other cadets hang back within the academy, waiting their turn as they focus on schoolwork, training… and just a little more than before, having social lives. Life may not be all about fighting and war from here on, and the dangerous electricity in the air, lingering from the battles just months ago, does nothing to ruin the palpable feeling of relief and the promise for new beginnings.
But the calms after storms are fickle things. Who knows how long this one will last?
It’s a new age -- not perfect, but better.

liberatifatali; the Children of Fate, is a game set in the world of Final Fantasy VIII; a world overrun with political corruption, magic and young heroes. It focuses on the intertwined relationships of its characters, canon and original, dark and light, and strives to create the atmosphere that players of the game -- and players simply drawn to the theme of SeeD’s military boarding school -- will be able to immerse themselves in. Detailed writers are to be found herein, as well as canon personalities and an uncertain future that anyone can influence.
Balamb Garden students are playable between the ages 15-19.
