Off the Map - A PotC Community [15 Feb 2008|09:35am]   You've sailed off the map now. Here there be monsters. Off the Map is a Pirates of the Caribbean RP taking place after the third movie. This game centers heavily around the supernatural and mythological elements of the films; including things like merfolk, selkies, sea monsters, deities, giants, spirits, raising the dead, eternal life and more. Like a cross between Pirates of the Caribbean and the great Ray Harryhausen movies such as Clash of the Titans and The Seventh Voyage of Sinbad, as well as classic mythology and folk tales. It is also an adult community where mature concepts and materials will not be prohibited and the uglier aspects of piracy and the eighteenth century will not be glossed over Disney style. All canon characters are welcome, as well as original characters, provided the are well conceived and well played. Characters may also be based around characters from other fandoms, but must be modified to fit the setting. The setting will not change to fit you. Savvy? Five sisters, along with their little brother, reside in the English Countryside town of Castledon, just outside of the capital London, along with their mother and father. It is the most traditional period of British history and the Lightwoods are living through it - the marriages, the balls, the matchmaking and most of all - the secrets. It is a rich age for wellbeing. Unless you are the Lightwoods. Recently resurrected Jane-Austen influenced game, just moved from Greatestjournal. We’re hoping for a fresh start with a game which has the potential to be something rather special. We’re currently looking for new players and new characters to add to the mix - have a look around and see what you think!!! The game is set to re-open once seven or more characters are filled.
