It’s another year at Hogwarts, but this year will be unlike any other before. After almost 30 years, Hogwarts is once again hosting students from Beauxbatons and Durmstrang.

While the Triwizard Tournament has been permanently discontinued after the 1994 tournament ended in tragedy, Headmistress McGonagall has been working with the heads of Beauxbatons and Durmstrang on an alternative to the Triwizard Tournament that would aim for its goal of establishing ties between students of different nationalities. Their plans were unveiled last year- a student exchange program between the three schools.

Sixteen Hogwarts students will spend this school year away from Hogwarts, while eight students from Beauxbatons and eight from Durmstrang will attend Hogwarts in their place. These exchange students will be sorted into Hogwarts houses and fully immersed in student life at Hogwarts. What does the year hold for the remaining Hogwarts students and the new exchange students from Beauxbatons and Durmstrang?
