Ista Island has been in a minor drought for the past ten Turns or so, but with many deep wells available it is nothing that cannot be overcome with a lot of irrigation. There are still a few Turns before the Fourth Pass will begin and life is largely unremarkable for residents of the Island. The summer is hot and muggy from coastal humidity, if lacking in rainfall. The seas are full of fish and the herds and crops are prospering, providing plenty of work for the Holders who claim land on the Island. The Weyr is well populated, with three breeding golds and several full flights of riders occupying the weyrs in both the inner and outer face of the long-dormant volcano. Everything was proceeding as normal and nobody would have to worry about having enough stores during the coming winter. What could possibly go wrong?
Beneath Strange Skies is set near the end of the Third Interval on Ista Island; Ista Weyr and Hold are our on-camera areas. We are a semi-canon setting offering sexuality-free Impression, female riders on all chromatics, and a unique and fair approach to Search. While there are presently only the five canon dragon colors, BSS offers the opportunity for the player base to decide if and how that will change through player polls and open discussions.
As a new game, there are plenty of ranking character positions open for application, and new opportunities will be posted weekly throughout the month of February. Our first Search cycle will launch in April, so if you want to build a candidate or be on SearchCo now is the time to join! |
