[02 Jan 2016|12:42am] What happens next? The Aftermath begins this Sunday January 3rd, but in game the date is May 3rd 1998, the day after the Battle of Hogwarts. The war is over, but dealing with the after effects is only beginning. Kids who were in 5th - 7th year in the 1997-1998 school year are required to attend Summer School at the Ministry this summer in order to fill in the gaps left by such a terrible year at school. Many 7th years will be required to repeat the year at Hogwarts as they missed too much school for Summer School to fill. For the adults, there is rebuilding to be done, capturing the remaining Death Eaters and putting them on trial, and of course everyone has to deal with the trauma of the battle and the losses that have just occurred. The Aftermath is an epilogue compliant game, however this does not mean that everything JKR has said is game canon. The epilogue only deals with Harry, Ginny, Ron, Hermione, Draco and Astoria. No one else is mentioned. All of the additional information that JKR has shared since the publication of the books is up for negotiation and you do not have to stick with it. So what happens next? The Aftermath is intended to explore the immediate aftermath of such tumultuous events and the impact they have on the characters in the game.
