For many generations, Durmstrang Institute has been a safe haven for all of those who hold strong to the ideal that the wizarding blood must be kept as pure as possible, for no other way can they possibly keep the magic strong. However, times change. And while the countries who send their children off to Durmstrang are many, and their Pureblood number far greater than the United Kingdom can boast, it does not mean that they have gone unscathed. Where thePureblood families of the UK are all but whipped out by infertility and death, those of Eastern Europe are only just now beginning to show the depleting signs.
Thankfully, depending on your stance, the Headmaster of Durmstrang has seen fit to introduce the new generations to a much more progressive way of thinking. Durmstrang is no longer a safe haven of Purist beliefs. Headmaster for fourteen years, Ivanov is now in a firm position and has opened Durmstrang to not just Purebloods and Halfbloods, but Muggleborn as well. With the addition of a vast number of new students, there is also new curriculum and a much larger campus to meet the new demands.
However, not nearly everyone is happy. His position may be saved by his politically unaligned seat of power on the Isle Durmstrang sits on, but he is determined to meet each obstacle head on, for the sake of his students, and the future he is hoping to usher in despite the staunch hold Tradition has on the wizarding populace of Eastern Europe.

- Dark House
is a horror/survival RPG. Locked with strangers in a huge house, you must survive with whatever you can carry. Because not only is the house full of rooms & halls & secret passages, but it's also alive.
And you will get lost.
|
- You wake in the darkness. A heavy weight on your chest forces you to gasp but you can't draw much more than a shallow breath. Which is sort of a good thing because the smell around you is absolutely horrific. It's like death has found you.
- And it has.
- Because the more you move, the more you realize that there is a little bit of light. It's coming from somewhere to your left & as your eyes become accustomed to it you can see what it is that has you pinned.
- Bodies.
- Everywhere around you, above & below, are bodies. Legs, arms, hair, faces grotesque & lifeless piled on & beneath you. It doesn't take you long to recognize them either. There's your best friend, her eyes wide & sightless. Your little brother, his skin bloodlessly pale & mottled. You want to scream but you can't gather enough breath.
- Then somewhere close by you feel movement inside the pile. Someone whispers your name.
- The lights go out.
- Welcome to the Dark House.

As summer holidays draw to a close, you're still trying to recover from the tragic events of last year. What happened to Cedric won't be forgotten. But at least this year Hogwarts will return to normal. Goodbye annoyingly pretty Beaubatons girls and hello Quidditch. The Hogwarts Express leaves tomorrow and not only do you manage without a single spot on your chin but you have the cutest pair of school shoes. You think you're prepared for everything.
